Fire Intern

The Franklin Fire Department’s Internship Program was created to encourage young people to pursue careers in the fire service through paid training and hands-on experience. The program provides a unique, structured opportunity for individuals considering or preparing for a future career in firefighting.

Fire Interns are paid to attend the Franklin Fire Department’s Recruit Academy, where they train alongside Fire Cadets and complete the same foundational curriculum required for firefighter certification.

Fire Interns earn state firefighting certifications and gain practical experience that prepares them for potential employment in the fire service.
